1. Assistant Engineer (Civil) Water Resources Dept, PWD- 50 posts
2. Assistant Engineer (Civil) Buildings, PWD- 21 posts
3. Assistant Engineer (Electrical) PWD- 09 posts
4. Assistant Director of Industrial Safety and Health (Assistant Inspector of Factories)- 18 posts

Qualifications required for TNPSC Assistant Engineers recruitment 2014:

• Aspirants who possess B.E in Civil Engineering or Civil and Structural Engineering are eligible to apply for Assistant Engineer (Civil) posts.
• Aspirants who possess Graduation in Electrical or Electronics or Communication Engineering are eligible to apply for Assistant Engineer (Electrical) posts.
• Aspirants who possess Graduation in Mechanical or Production or Industrial or Electrical or Chemical Engineering or Textile Technology are eligible to apply for Assistant Inspector of Factories post.
